To simplify your first visit, please fill out our New Patient Form online prior to your appointment.
Initial Examination
At your first appointment, your dentist will begin by reviewing your medical and dental history and will complete a comprehensive dental exam. Your exam will include a thorough examination of your gums, teeth, bite, and jaw, an oral cancer screening, and any required X-rays.
Treatment Plan
Based on your history and dental examination, your dentist will develop a long-term dental treatment plan for you. Your dentist will also answer any questions you may have about your dental health and treatment options.

Insurance Claims
We offer direct billing for most insurance plans. For your convenience, we can submit your insurance claim electronically, resulting in faster reimbursement, without the need for paper forms and signatures.
Our administrative team can assist you in understanding your insurance plan better and can also send estimates to your insurance company prior to starting any major treatments.
Payment Methods
Any co-pays or amounts not covered by insurance are your responsibility and must be paid at the time of your appointment.
We accept payment by cash, debit, or most major credit cards.

Dental emergencies can happen unexpectedly, and when they do, our team is here to help.
If you are experiencing an oral health issue that requires urgent dental care, such as severe pain, a knocked-out tooth, or a mouth injury, call our office as soon as possible.

- How can I book an appointment?
To book an appointment at Sherwood Charlottetown Dental, please contact our office during our regular business hours.
- How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us. Please let us know about any change of plans at least 24 hours in advance, so we can offer the space in our schedule to another patient. There will be a charge for missed appointments if 24 hours notice is not given.
- Do you offer appointment reminders?
In the days before your appointment, you will receive automated phone, text or email appointment reminders from us. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us as soon as possible to let us know.
- Does your clinic have on-site parking?
Yes, we have free on-site parking available for all our patients. We are also easily accessible by public transit.
